Ultraceuticals offer a number of ways of chemically exfoliating the skin. Lactic acid peels are highly effective treatments for ageing skin needing hydration and collagen synthesis. The Vitapeel is ideal for treating signs of ageing caused by sun damage, in particular, excessive pigmentation. The BHA peel is suitable for problematic, blemished and acne skin conditions.The new A-Zyme peel may be recommended for many skin concerns. It contains retinol and bromelain which have antiageing and exfoliating effects on the skin.
After consultation with the registered nurse and review by Dr Dingley, a course of peels may be recommended for you if appropriate. There is minimal discomfort and usually no, or minimal, downtime associated with the peel procedure. There may be some mild pinkness within the treated area immediately after the peel and some skin shedding up to one week afterwards.
