Moles can be removed or reduced in appearance, for cosmetic reasons, or because there has been some change in the mole. There are three different lasers that can be used for treating moles at the Cosmetic Medicine Centre: the Diolite laser, the Medlite laser and the Erbium laser.
The type of laser used will depend on the presentation of the mole – and this can only be determined by consultation with the doctor. If there has been some change in a mole, it may need to be excised by the doctor, and sent to a pathologist for microscopic examination.
The treatment of choice will be decided after a consultation with the doctor, to determine the best possible outcome for you.
